Just wanted to know what would be the best stet out there for doing complete physical exams? I heard about littman but which kind and where is the best place to buy one?
Thanks for any input.

You've heard right. Aknowledged in hospitals everywhere by doctors and nurses alike, the Littman line of stethoscopes is probably the best line you can buy. There are several different types. The classic II S.E. is the middle ground, with the master classic II being slightly better, and there are a line of better as well as cheaper ones to choose from. Go to 3m.com (3M makes the Littman stethoscopes, so you know with that kind of research they have to be good) and they rate the stethoscopes themselves to help you choose the right one. I wouldn't buy direct from them though, as they charge more than the retailers. I suggest Allheart.com for the best prices and service. I ordered a classic II S.E. for about $55 and they are anywhere from 65 to 90 on other sites (including if you buy it direct or in stores). Good luck finding the right scope, but I would highly, highly recommend a 3M Littman series stethoscope, at least Classic II S.E. You won't regret it (they even come with extra earpieces, and it is really easy to find replacement parts! You can also get your name engraved on them on allheart.com
